The swallowing problem I talked about back in July has gotten no better. In fact, it’s worse. That’s why this blog has been so quiet lately; it’s hard to try new things when you never know if you’ll be able to swallow anything more adventurous than scrambled eggs.
Tests are underway, and I hope to know what’s going on and have a treatment plan in the next few weeks. But I miss you! So I thought, the least I can do is share some of the interesting food-related stuff I find on the internet.
And I haven’t found anything more interesting – or, at least, stranger – than this photographically rich blog post about Kraken Rum and Miss Cakehead’s “Edible Autopsy” party, featuring realistically rendered goodies like a giant kraken eye, mouth, and tentacles made of rum cake, served on the deck of a fishing boat.
