Changes Afoot at Talin Pop-Up Dumpling Shop!

August 28, 2015 by Kristin Satterlee 1 Comment

dumplingupdate

If you’ve stopped by Talin’s wonderful Pop-Up Dumpling Shop on a Thursday in August, you probably left disappointed. And if you’ve wandered through the European area recently – where the dumpling shop has had a few small tables wedged in between the service counter, a glass case full of teaware, and shelves full of pasta and jam – you may have noticed that the stores were getting awfully depleted, with the shelves practically empty.

Well, it turns out these things are related.

In response to its great popularity – when Arne and I were there at the end of July, it was jam-packed at noon, with no available tables – Talin has cleared more space for seating. And the dumpling shop has switched its open days from Thursday and Friday to Friday and Saturday (hours remain 11am to 7pm). Those of you who couldn’t make it there on a weekday, rejoice!

I’m really excited that this little gem is doing so well, and hope the change points to exciting new things in store for the space. A variety of pop-ups on different days of the week, perhaps? Someone talk to those folks who used to serve Ethiopian food at Winnings coffee shop once a week!

The space is cleared, but no new tables yet!
