It’s been a while since I’ve posted about food trucks. I love them, but in Albuquerque it’s hard to keep track of them. (Oh, how I wish we had food-truck pods like Portland does!)
For one day in April, however, we Burqueños will do food-truck pods one better. Instead of a parking lot, we’ll have a grassy lawn filled with food trucks – perhaps as many as 25.
The official site doesn’t list which food trucks will be attending, but I have gotten my grubby paws on a partial list. (Click on the truck name to link to more info.)
There’s a lot of good-looking stuff here, but I’m especially interested in Karibu Cafe – since I keep not making it to their brick-and-mortar location – and the completely adorable converted VW bug that houses O’Beans Coffee Cruiser. I’ve got some preview menus, and there are great-looking offerings from My Sweet Basil (roasted corn fritter) and Fresco New Mexico (I want a slider made with sausage from Joe S. Sausage right now).
Admission is $5 online, $10 onsite. See you there!
